June 16- In the Dark

Democracy was the light at the end of the tunnel when Monarchic Authoritarianism prevailed all over the world. It is this beacon that everyone thought would keep people at the forefront of everything. Is this the case we are seeing today ? Definitely not. The increasing statecraft of governing people has increasingly kept people in the dark. A commoner is the least concerned entity today. Transparency has been a subject that is least bothered. Unadulterated information is not easily accessible for everyone. People are nowhere to be seen in the loop of decision making. Why is it that people are always kept in the dark ? We hoped people would be the King and Queen in the democratic game of Chess but the sad reality is- We are still pawns. In the darkness of being a neglected commodity, hope the real light of democracy falls on us sooner.
